Fear for Remco Evenepoel: training accident and hospitalization

Frightening morning for Remco Evenepoel :the Belgian cyclist, two-time Olympic champion in Paris, è was hospitalized after an accident while training solo in Oetingen, Flemish Brabant. According to HNL reports, the champion è failed to avoid the open door of a postal van, crashing violently into it.

Evenepoel never lost consciousness and è was immediately transported to the Erasmus Hospital in Anderlecht for investigation: for him a problem with an arm. According to emergency service doctors, he may have fractured his wrist and collarbone.

The Belgian cyclist had intensified training just these days in preparation for the start of next season. 

"Remco è was transferred to the Erasmus Hospital in Anderlecht – said the papà Patrick Evenepoel -. We have to wait and see what the report will be. We are going to the hospital", the words reported by HNL.
