Jannik Sinner inserts a novelty in his calendar for 2025. In fact, the world number one will play the Doha ATP 500, scheduled for Feb. 22-27. This was announced by the QTF (Qatar Tennis Federation) through an official statement.
The 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open, which will be held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, will be particularly significant because it will transition from an ATP 250 event to an ATP 500, a historic upgrade after 32 years of Doha hosting world-class tennis.
“We are thrilled to welcome world number 1 Jannik Sinner to the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2025,” stressed tournament director Karim Alami. His presence, along with that of other top players, will undoubtedly raise the level of competition and provide fans with an outstanding spectacle of world-class tennis. Sinner's remarkable achievements and skill set the stage for an exciting event".
Before the Doha tournament, Sinner will of course play the Australian Open, scheduled for Jan. 12-26, and the Rotterdam ATP 500, which will be held Feb. 1-9. In both tournaments, the Blue è defending champion and will therefore have to try to defend his title.
