Focus celebrates International Mountain Day with a special schedule

On Wednesday, December 11, on the occasion of International Mountain Day, Focus celebrates the event with dedicated programming and an original production by Sport Mediaset – Linee di Vetta – CAI Eagle Team: the call of the impossible – in prime time. Narrator of the special, Giuseppe Cederna, actor and writer, a great mountaineering enthusiast.

Almost two years ago, CAI – after a drastic selection – started an’academy in which to train 15 young mountaineers, including boys and girls. È thus was born the ’Eagle Team, a department of’excellence that, under the guidance of the strongest Italian and international mountaineers, and with Matteo Della Bordella as an exceptional tutor, will mark’new routes to accomplish great feats on mountains around the world.

On the eve of the departure for Patagonia of part of the Team, the special recounts their disappointments and hopes, values and motivations, just as they are in their favorite element, the mountains, cross-referencing them with the experiences, memories of the difficulties and youthful glories of their great Master.
