Milan, parade of stars for 125th anniversary
The Rossoneri club celebrates 125 years since its founding
There will be many protagonists of Milan’s history who will take part in the celebrations for the 125° anniversary of the Rossoneri club, which will involve fans and insiders on Sunday evening, on the sidelines of the 8:45 p.m. league match between the Paulo Fonseca-coached team and Genoa.
The evening, as announced by the club, will kick off at 7:45 p.m., with the special award ceremony for the Rossoneri legends who have become part of the club’s Hall of Fame: specifically, Marco van Basten, Filippo Inzaghi and Andriy Shevchenko, who will join honorary vice president Franco Baresi, the first official member of the Hall of Fame, in the section dedicated to the footballers who have contributed most significantly to Rossoneri history.
The celebrations will continue in the immediate pre-match, at about 8:30 p.m., with the official ceremony for the 125th Anniversary of AC Milan, which with a dedicated show that will be staged on the San Siro lawn together with the many Rossoneri legends attending the evening. The show will be, moreover, enriched by the participation of personalities such as Luca Ward, Italian actor and voice actor, and Meduza, who will play for the first time at San Siro.
Finally, the match against Genoa will also be the’occasion for the men’s first team to show off the playing jersey dedicated to the 125° Anniversary of the Club, a uniform that recalls, by design and crest, that of the first years since its founding in December 1899 by Herbert Kilpin.
