Federica Brignone, candid admission after St. Moritz Super-G
Federica Brignone doesn’t mince words
She expected something more from herself Federica Brignone, who at the end of the Super-G in St. Moritz, won by Cornelia Hütter and finished by the Valle d’Aosta woman in fifth place, explained what didn’t è go right today. For Brignone, victory has been missing since Oct. 26 and has not è yet come this season in the fast disciplines.
"I started with the right attitude, I had well in mind what to do but in the race I suffered a little bit’, I went a couple of times under the pole to scratch and theì I lost speedà – admitted the champion from Valle d’Aosta -. It was a SuperG- where you had to stay in time all the time, but in two points I did not succeed".
"This makes me a little bit angry,” Brignone later explained, “because they are errors of confidence, I lack a little bit of decision: on the one hand I am convinced, on the other hand I do not find the right conviction. It is a matter of putting all the pieces" she then concluded, making an appointment for the supergiant-bis on Sunday.
The women’s alpine skiing season, in the World Cpooa, has so far given two successes to the Italian colors: Federica Brignone è imposed herself in the very first race of the year, the giant slalom in Sölden, while Sofia Goggia won in Super-G in Beaver Creek, gaining her first success since returning after injury last December 15.
