Alta Badia, Norway speaks slalom
Vince Timon Haugan
Norway’s Timon Haugan è won Monday’s slalom in Alta Badia, clearly dominating over Switzerland’s Loïc Meillard (+1''13) and another Norwegian, Atle Lie McGrath (+1''26), who had finished the first leg in second place, behind his compatriot.
No podium for Clément Noël, returning after forfeiting in Val d'Isère due to a sprained right ankle. The Frenchman from Vosges, third at the end of the first run, èappeared less confident in the second run and finished in sixth place (+1''69).
Fourth after the first run, Steven Amiez è exited after a few gates in the second run, experiencing the same fate that already happened in Val d'Isère on December 15. Paco Rassat finished in 14th place (+3''03).
Too bad also for Alex Vinatzer, who è started strong but soon straddled in the first run.
