Anna Kalinskaya’s season is about to begin. On Sunday, the Russian tennis player will make her debut in the women’s doubles tournament at the Brisbane International: è the Muscovite’s first official outing yet before the end of 2024. Anna Kalinskaya will begin her new adventure paired with Australia's Priscilla Hon.
The two will face the pair formed by Miyu Kato of Japan and Giuliana Olmos of Mexico in the first round. The singles tournament scoreboard will start on Monday: Anna Kalinskaya è the No. 6 seed in Brisbane, behind Sabalenka, Navarro, Kasatkina, Badosa and Schnaider.
The Muscovite is expected to make her singles debut next Tuesday with a tennis player who came from the qualifiers. Last season Anna had been eliminated in the round of 16 by compatriot Azarenka.
Anna Kalinskaya begins 2025 with high ambitions: her two stated goals are to break into the Top 10 for the first time in her career and to win her first singles tournament on the WTA circuit. On the other hand, her affair with Jannik Sinner is still on hold: after meeting on his birthday, there have been no more hints about the love story between the two athletes, who are currently focused on their respective careers.
