Cagliari-Inter 0-3

Inter closes in the best way the 2024 (calendar year that will go down in the history of the Nerazzurri club for the conquest of the second star) beating Cagliari 3-0 at the Unipol Domus, a result that does not do justice to the vigorous defensive performance of the Rossoblù, able to resist for almost an hour, but confirms the cynicism of the Nerazzurri, good at materializing every possible goal action.

Very little to report as far as the first half of the game is concerned: the only real action from goal happens on 29'on the head of Lautaro Martinez, who forò from a good position fails to score. It goes to halftime on 0-0 and at the beginning of the resumption the only corrective è made by the hosts, for whom Wieteska makes his entrance in place of a slumped Yerry Mina.

Just the exit of the Colombian takes something away from the defense of Cagliari, Inter takes advantage and at 53' passes: on the development of a free kick taken from the left side è Alessandro Bastoni to sign the advantage, with a header that leaves no escape to the opponent goalkeeper. Nicola makes two more changes on the half-hour mark, with Marin and Pavoletti replacing Obert and Gaetano, but Inter go ahead again on 71': è Lautaro Martinez to return to goal, after almost two months of fasting in a Nerazzurri jersey, sealing the 2-0 lead in a split.

More changes after the goal: Viola for Makoumbou for Cagliari, Zielinski and Carlos Augusto in place of Barella and Dimarco for Inter. The Nerazzurri closed the score in the 78th minute: Wieteska’s hands in the box, Doveri pointed to the penalty spot and Calhanoglu converted to make it 3-0. Only the last changes were made in the final: Taremi, Asllani and Frattesi in place of Thuram, Mkhitaryan and Calhanoglu for Inter, Felici for Piccoli in Cagliari. The result però does not change, the Beneamata wins.
