A friendship turned into a bitter rivalry: or maybe not.

Max Verstappen and Lando Norris became known in the Formula 1 circus not only for being two of the most talented drivers of their generation (especially the Dutchman, already a four-time world champion), but also for being united by more than good relations. A balance seemingly broken in 2024, in which the two contended for the title and engaged in bitter battles on the track. Without però that their relations have soured.

Confirming this è was Verstappen himself, who spoke on Red Bull’s official podcast ('Talking Bulls') to state his personal truth about his relationship with Norris. Which, according to his words, are very different from what è has been described in recent months in which the fight with McLarens has è become decidedly harder than in the past.

"On social media, people often describe things by painting them as worse than they really are,‖ Verstappen pointed out. And certainly there are a lot of very good people, but some people are really imbeciles. They always have something to say and complaints to make. The best thing to do è ignore them, but I want to point out that Norris and I get along very well".

There'è to say that the Dutchman&#39s words belie not only a common feeling, but also some recent statements by none other than his father. Jos Verstappen, in fact, said he has strong doubts that his son and Norris can continue their friendship in the coming years, in view of the increasingly high level that the McLaren Englishman is offering on the track.
