Stefano Colantuono explains his farewell to Salernitana

Stefano Colantunono è no longer the coach of Salernitana. “I matured this decision first and foremost for the good of Salernitana, having accepted this position a month and a half ago with great motivation – explained the Roman technician -. With the company we already imagined that we would have to take stock of the situation at the end of the first half of the season. We all hoped that things could improve. Unfortunately, there’è was not the expected turnaround. So, because of the relationship that binds me to the ownershipà, to the management and to this city to which I feel deeply attached, I preferred to take a step back in order to allow the club to reschedule the second half of the season in a different way".

“Now there’è needs a spark that can help change the inertia – he added -. We have all done our best to try to straighten things out, we have also been unlucky in so many situations, including numerical difficulties due, from time to time, to the’unavailabilityà of important players. There’è all the time to overcome this moment and I wish Salernitana to reach the goal of salvation. I consider it largely within reach, since there’è still half a season to play".
