Formula 1’s 2025 brings with ité numerous novelties, but the most eagerly awaited by Ferrari fans è undoubtedly the arrival of Lewis Hamilton in Maranello. The seven-time world champion, after ending his 12-year long adventure in Mercedes with the last race of the 2024 season in Abu Dhabi, officially starts his experience with Scuderia Ferrari on January 1.

Hamilton’s first day as a Prancing Horse driver ushers in the countdown to his track debut with Ferrari and the start of the new season, which kicks off in Melbourne over the weekend of March 14-16 with the Australian Grand Prix.

The’announcement of Lewis’s move to Ferrari, scheduled to start in 2025, had been made official on February 1’2024 with a multi-year contract. On the Mercedes side, team principal Toto Wolff had announced the British driver’s farewell to the team at an internal meeting, followed by an official statement.

Before that, Lewis and Wolff had met at the residence of the Mercedes team principal, where the driver had personally informed of his decision.
