Torino has made its choice regarding the future of Samuele Ricci: in fact, the Granata club and the player's entourage have agreed to renew the contract that binds the 2001 class to the club until 2028, thus giving a definitive answer to the suitors in line since last summer to try to grab the Pontedera-born talent.
"Torino Football Club è pleased to announce that it has renewed the contract for the sports performance of the player Samuele Ricci until June 30, 2028" reads the official statement of the Granata club, released on Thursday. Ricci è at Torino since January 2022, having arrived from Empoli, a club in which he had made his professional debut.
The news comes a very short time after another renewal, this time at managerial level: Davide Vagnati, in fact, remains in charge of the Granata technical area until 2027, thus putting an end to rumors of a farewell that had intensified in recent days (Parma seemed, in this sense, in pole position).
Toro is experiencing a mid-table season, with the calendar year ending in 10th place, tied with Roma on 20 points. After a sprint start (11 points in the first five days), Paolo Vanoli's team suffered a few too many setbacks, winning just two games (against Como and Empoli) in the next thirteen days.
