Brindisi seeks breakthrough with Pesaro
The return round of the 2024/25 A2 Series basketball championship opens with a great classic: Victoria Libertas Pesaro vs. New Basket Brindisi, a match valid for the 20th day. Two-way ball Sunday, Jan. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro.
The two teams find themselves facing each other again a month and a half after the last time, a peculiar crossroads of an asymmetrical calendar that pits one against the other in a very close time frame for a new challenge full of meaning. Two important points at stake for the standings and the morale of two teams looking for confirmations after a first round punctuated by problems and difficulties.
Coach Piero Bucchi presented the challenge with the red-and-whites in a press conference: "Finally since the last game, we are back to full strength after changing set-up many times during the first half of the season. Sunday will weigh; the desire on the part of both teams to turn their season around. We come from a common path, full of difficulties" at the beginning of the season but the important thing will be to arrive in condition in the spring to have our say again".
"Leka found a meeting point between individual talents, above all of the offensive terminal Ahmad, and the group by compacting its spirit. The good results of the’last period are proving them right. We faced each other only a month and a half ago, but it will be a completely different match, just think that we will have in addition; De Vico and Ogden" concluded the coach of the biancazzurri.
