The Blue is preparing for its debut with Nicolas Jarry

A setback forced Jannik Sinner to change his training schedule. Complicated by the heavy rain that è fell on Melbourne (a real downpour), the world number 1 team had to revise its plans.

When he was about to begin his personal training on court 17, lo and behold, Jannik Sinner had to move to the National Tennis Center, then indoors, in order to hold his session. He wasn't the only one who had to train on the center's indoor courts. Other tennis players, including Carlos Alcaraz and Nole Djokovic, also had to do the same.

Despite this setback, Jannik Sinner’s preparation continues at its best. After winning both exhibition matches against Alexei Popyrin and Stefano Tsitsipas (without conceding a single set to his opponents), the world No. 1 è is focused on his tournament debut, scheduled for Sunday night and Monday night against Nicolas Jarry (the match is expected to start around 4:00 a.m. Italian time).

The previous record with the Chilean tennis player is in perfect parity (1-1) but Nicolas Jarry’s victory dates back to 2019 when Jannik Sinner was still at the beginning of his astonishing climb to the throne of world tennis. The last confrontation between the two è was staged at the China Open last September with the Italian winning in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-1).
