Pisa wins derby and stays in Sassuolo’s wake

The 21st day of Serie B ended with a victory for Pisa in the Tuscan derby with Carrarese. At the Garibaldi Arena, in fact, it ends 2-1 for the Nerazzurri, who thread their third consecutive victory in the league and remain in the wake of the leading Sassuolo, only three points away.
The hosts found the lead midway through the first half with a nice header by Canestrelli off an Angori corner. In the second half, however, the guests evened the score at 62' with Finotto on a counterattack. In the finale the Nerazzurri went back ahead: Caracciolo broke through a mistake by the Giallazzurri rearguard and scored, signing the final 2-1.
Thanks to this success, Pisa climbs to 46 points in the standings, consolidating second place. Carrarese, on the other hand, remains stuck at 27, just outside the play-off zone.
