Australian Open: Flavio Cobolli lasts one set with Etcheverry

Flavio Cobolli exits immediately in the first round of the Australian Open. The Roman, in fact, è surrendered to Argentina's Tomas Martin Etcheverry, number 38 in the ATP ranking, in four sets with the final score of 7-6 3-6 5-7 1-6 after three hours and 35 minutes of play.

In the first set to dominate è the service even if Cobolli does not take advantage of two break points, coinciding with two set points, in the tenth game. It thus came down to the tie-break, where the Azure won in the advantages, closing 10-8 in his favor.

The victory in the first partial, however, does not give the necessary boost to the Roman, who drops in the second set and suffers the break in the sixth game (2-4). Etcheverry doesn’t let up and preserves it until the final 6-3, equalizing the set count.

The bad moment for Flavio continued in the third set where he immediately went down by a break. The azure però reacts immediately (1-1) but in the tenth game he still misses a set point that he pays dearly: the Argentine saves and closes on 7-5. The fourth set closed with a domination of Etcheverry, who won the last six games of the match.
