Tapiro d'oro to Paola Egonu

These days è news has come to light that, a few months after the end of the Paris Olympic Games, about one hundred athletes have returned the medals they won due to rapid deterioration.

Striscia la notizia correspondent Valerio Staffelli intercepted on the training field of Numia Vero Volleyball Milan four gold medal winners, namely Italian volleyball players Paola Egonu, Myriam Sylla, Alessia Orro and Anna Danesi to ask what condition their medals were in.

Staffelli presented each of them with a golden tapiro “medalist” as well as a satirical, specially made medal. Regarding the medals they won in Paris, the four champions said those in their possession are still in good condition.

And when Staffelli asked how Giorgia Meloni plays volleyball, Egonu – who together with her national teammates exchanged dribbles at the Palazzo Chigi last April, said: “She has a fairly delicate touch. She gets by. There’è potential”. The full report will air tomorrow night on Striscia la notizia (Channel 5, 8:35 p.m.).
