Claudio Ranieri has clear ideas

.

A matter of affection led him in November to accept, for the third time in his long and honored coaching career, Roma&#39s offer, but Claudio Ranieri has every intention of not going beyond the role of "traghettatore", as he himself declared in an interview given to 'Rai Sport'.

"The club will look for a new coach capable of taking the team into the ’élite of Italian and European soccer. Where Roma deserves to be. – are the words that Ranieri entrusted to the broadcast 'Dribbling' -. I at the end of the season will stop, è really time has come".

Ranieri had stopped, a first time, after the Cagliari experience ended with salvation achieved at the end of the second season, making it clear that he wanted to at least slow down, making himself available to coach a national team. The call of the Giallorossi club, struggling with a difficult first part of the season, had però been too strong.

This is the balance of the first two months of the "Ranieri III" at Roma: three wins (one of them in the derby against Lazio), two draws and three defeats in the league, one win and one draw in the Europa League (where the Giallorossi are largely in the running for a passage to the round), one success in the Coppa Italia (resulting in qualification for the quarterfinals).
