Novak Djokovic sounds alarm after victory over Carlos Alcaraz

Novak Djokovic in a press conference after his victory against Carlos Alcaraz at the Australian Open updated on his physical condition: "The rest day comes at the right time, but as I said on the court, I will evaluate the situation tomorrow when I wake up. I will tryò to do the best I can with my recovery team and the physical therapist, today and in the coming days".

"I will probably skipò training tomorrow, I will seeò whether to do it in two days. He’ll take everything day by day, now it’s just a matter of catching up. Honestly, I am worried about the physical, but if he canò somehow manage to feel well enough physically and mentally, heò will be motivated to the max against Zverev", are the words reported by Ubitennis.

Nole explained that the problem è in the knee: "I will not go into details, but è very similar to what I had a few years ago, in 2023. I didn’t do tests of course. I did tests with the physical therapist when he took me off the field, during the medical timeout. He bandaged me up and the doctor gave me some medication, painkillers".

The injury also affected Alcaraz: "Yes, I noticed it. I tried to use it to my advantage, to take the initiative in the exchanges by taking advantage of his hesitation. He tried to play a lot of drop shots to make me run. I have been in similar situations, I understood what he was trying".
