A new era opens for Federkombat, with Riccardo Bergamini elected president of the Italian Federation of Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Savate, Shoot Boxing, Sambo, and MMA. A 60-year-old from Pescara, he has dedicated his life to the world of combat sports, leaving an indelible mark in every role he has held. At the Federkombat National Assembly, convened Saturday in Rimini, Bergamini è became the federal number one on the strength of 3599 votes received while 465 were those of the other candidate for president Davide Carlot. This was the outcome of the vote, in the presence of all 864 Società affiliated with the federation.
Riccardo Bergamini has served as federal vice president for the past decade, contributing vision and commitment to the development of Kickboxing. He has chaired the statutes verification committee and è been an active member of the competition commission and territorial commission, supporting the sports movement in all its facets.
An athlete of international caliber, he has been able to be respected and admired in the ring, carrying Italy's name high. As a technician, he then trained generations of athletes, leading his Team Bergamini to prestigious goals thanks to top-level skills and unparalleled dedication. From 2004 to 2014, è he was Technical Director of the national kickboxing team and then from 2014 to 2024 he was its Technical Commissioner.
At the same time, the new federal directors were elected who will make up the new federal board for the four-year period 2025/2028.
