NBA, the results of the night

Just three games on the calendar as far as the NBA night between Friday and Saturday is concerned, but there was no shortage of surprises. The biggest one came from Philadelphia, where the Sixers gave themselves one of the few satisfactions of this so far bitter season by defeating on their own parquet the franchise with the best record in the league, the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a score of 132-129.

Very short rotations for coach Nick Nurse, just eight players on the scoreboard: the best are Paul George, author of 30 points, and Tyrese Maxey, who adds 29 contributing to the first victory after 7 consecutive knockouts. The Cavaliers, on the other hand, were not satisfied with Donovan Mitchell’s 37, Ty Jerome’s 33 and Darius Garland’s 26: the rest of the roster signed only 33 more points.

In the Western Conference, however, the Memphis Grizzlies continue to run: in the 139-126 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, Jaren Jackson Jr’s 29 points, Luke Kennard’s 27, and Desmond Bane’s double-double of 20 points and 14 assists stand out. The Pelicans had to settle for a few individualities, most notably that of Dejounte Murray, who scored 26 points.

Closing the summary è the success of the Portland Trail Blazers, 102-97, on the parquet of the Charlotte Hornets, in a contest between franchises with largely negative record: Anfernee Simmons è the best scorer of the evening with 27 points, on the other side weighs the absence due to injury of LaMelo Ball and no one goes beyond the 17 of Nick Smith Jr.
