The year 2025 has not è started in the best way for Anna Kalinskaya. The withdrawal from the Australian Open, in fact, has had a heavy effect on the WTA rankings for the Russian tennis player, who has lost as many as two positions, finishing in 18th position, thus seeing the top 10 ranking recede even further.
At the top of the ranking, despite the knockout in the final, Aryna Sabalenka is confirmed, who precedes Poland’s Iga Swiatek spaced only 186 points behind. Coco Gauff completes the podium. Firmly in fourth position, however, the Italian Jasmine Paolini.
Entering the top 10 forcefully is Australian Open winner Madison Keys, who gains as many as seven positions reaching seventh place behind Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula, but ahead of Qinwen Zheng, Emma Navarro and Paula Badosa.
Anna Kalinskaya, now, will be called upon to resume the race already in the WTA 250 in Singapore, where she will face American Caroline Dolehide in her debut.
