Another huge fan for the absolute matador of ordierno tennis.
Jannik Sinner has found another huge fan. It is none other than Jimmy Connors, the one who in the history of tennis è managed to win the most tournaments in men's singles in the Open era (he is followed by Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic). Well: the legendary U.S. champion explained in no uncertain terms that the current performance of the South Tyrolean exalts him.
"For the past year and a half, maybe even a few more; Sinner è has been a steamroller. È he has been unstoppable,” the tennis legend pointed out in a talk on his podcast 'Advantage Connors' -His last 18 months or so have been truly incredible, and he has continued to play at such a high level, match after match, tournament after tournament".
Even Connors confided that he sees in the current Sinner a little bit of his younger self: "He always puts his whole self on the line. I love that. È the same thing that happened to me when I played, and that allowed me to get where I got. Que quando I took the field, I wanted to maintain my own expectations every single time. He does the same thing. And boy, he plays incredible".
In the same hours, moreover, Sinner had collected rave praise from another former tennis player like Fabrice Santoro. "È monstrous, gigantic. This is the world number 1 who, because of his status, already has a thousand times more pressure than the others. His skiing background then helps him even more, because heé never è unbalanced on the ground and has a superior sense of movement than any other player", had been the words of the Frenchman, now a columnist for 'BeIn Sports'.
