Cristiano Giuntoli closes the inbound market
Juventus will not carry out any more incoming market operations between now and the deadline set for February 3. That's what the Bianconeri executive guaranteed, to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' on the sidelines of Wednesday night's Champions League match between the Bianconeri and Benfica at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
"We have done what we set out to do,” said Giuntoli, without mincing words. We integrated the squad with two defenders and a striker, as we had planned. In the inbound our market è finished, for the rest we will remain attentive to every possible development between now and the end of the winter".
Compared to the match with Napoli, Thiago Motta proposed, in his official lineup against Benfica, several changes in the starting eleven: "For so many weeks we have had injury problems – explained Giuntoli -, the Coach could not afford these rotations. Now the squad è almost full, it will be possible to manage the forces".
In winter soccer, Juventus's most important coup was the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain. In addition to the French striker, two defenders also arrived, Alberto Costa from Vitoria Guimaraes and Renato Veiga from Chelsea. The hypotheses of Zirkzee in attack and Tomori in defense now seem to have been ruled out.
