Timon Haugan wins in Schladming

It's Norway's Timon Haugan who won the night special slalom in Schladming: between the narrow poles of the Planai slope, the skier born in 1996 è starred in an excellent second run that allowed him to move from second to first place, also thanks to a disappointing second run by Linus Strasser, who had recorded the best time in the first leg.

The German even finishes off the podium, 77 hundredths behind Haugan and behind two Austrians, Manuel Feller and Fabio Gstrein, whose times are respectively 20 and 67 hundredths slower than Haugan's overall 1:48.05. Rounding out the Top 5, behind Strasser, is Switzerland's Loic Meillard, guinto with a delay of 83 hundredths.

Not too positive the Azzurri chapter: the best è Alex Vinatzer, who però could not make it back into the Top 10 and had to settle for 12th place, with an overall delay of one second and 64 hundredths from the evening winner. Further back are Tobias Kastlunger and Stefano Gross, 22nd and 23rd respectively.

Failing to qualify, however, for the second run were Simon Maurberger, 40th, and Tommaso Sacccardi, who failed to finish his run. Filippo Della Vite also withdrew in the first heat. In the overall standings Marco Odermatt, absent today, is confirmed ahead of everyone with 1066 points (320 more than Henrik Kristoffersen), while in the specialty ranking there is Kristoffersen himself, eighth today, in the lead with 467 points, 3 more than Clement Noel, who fell during the second run.
