Juventus consoles itself with defender: deal closed by Giuntoli
Juventus has its men short in defense and is running for cover: the Bianconeri have reached an agreement with Lens for the arrival in Turin of 26-year-old defender Kevin Danso. The Austrian center-back will arrive on a dry loan until June for a total of 2 1/2 million euros and will go to reinforce Thiago Motta’s backroom, which is dangerously short of men after Danilo’s farewell and Pierre Kalulu’s injury.
Danso thus arrives in Serie A after narrowly missing out on Italy last season, when he was a step away from Roma but did not pass medical examinations. The operation è very similar to that carried out for Renato Veiga, who arrived from Chelsea on loan until next June.
Giuntoli overcame competition from Rennes and Wolfsburg, which had been interested in the player.
Juventus’ market may not be over: according to Fabrizio Romano reports, the Bianconeri have submitted a formal bid for Dinamo Zagreb youth defender Leon Jakirovic. The 17-year-old player made his Champions League debut just last Wednesday against AC Milan.
