Anna Kalinskaya è qualified for the semifinals of the Singapore tournament. It wasn&#39t a walkover for òa number one seed, forced to play it all out in the third set of the challenging fourth with Manachaya Sawangkaew.

The fiancée of Jannik Sinner, a big favorite for the final victory, after winning the first set è got surprised by her rival, who with a nice 6-4 put off any verdict putting also quite a bit of pressure on her higher-ranked opponent.

After an hour and a half of battle forò Sawangkaew ran out of energy and Kalinskaya took advantage to close with heavy 6-0 in the third set. The Russian on Saturday in the semifinals will face Li Ann, as the U.S. overcame Kimberly Birrell in the other quarterfinal with two tiebreaks.
