NBA: Boston rolls past Cleveland, Lakers overwhelm Clippers in derby
Seven games were played on NBA night. Still without newcomer Luka Doncic, the Los Angeles Lakers scrambled to win the derby with the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome (122-97). Dragging the yellow-violet è the usual LeBron James, who came close to a triple-double with 26 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds, while in the Clippers house Kawhi Leonard (11 points) and James Harden (7 points) disappointed.
Triumphant comeback for Joel Embiid, who led the Philadelphia 76ers to home success against the Dallas Mavericks (118-116). The Philly center signs a triple-double from 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, on the shields also Tyrese Maxey, author of 33 points and 13 assists, while the guests are not enough a Kyrie Irving from 34 points and 9 rebounds.
Winning again were the New York Knicks, who overcame the Toronto Raptors (121-115) on the road thanks to Jalen Brunson (28 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (27 points), and the Portland Trail Blazers, who overwhelmed the Indiana Pacers (112-89) at the Moda Center with Anfernee Simons starring (22 points, 7 assists and 4 three-point shots made).
Finally, victories also for the Chicago Bulls who remounted the Miami Heat in the last 4' of the game (133-124), sending as many as 4 players above 20 points (Matas Buzelis (24), Josh Giddey (24), Coby White (22) and Ayo Dosunmu (21)) and for the Brooklyn Nets who narrowly overcame the Houston Rockets (99-97) dragged by Keon Jhonson (22 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists).
