Six contests were played in the NBA night. The California derby between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors ended with a win for the yellow-viola. Without new signings Luka Doncic and Mark Williams for the JJ Reddick-coached team and Jimmy Butler for the Steve Kerr-led franchise, it was the usual LeBron James and Stephen Curry who took the stage, finishing with 42 and 37 points respectively.
The rematch of the last NBA Finals between Dallas and Boston ends with a win for the Mavs, who eviscerate the TD Garden thanks to a super Klay Thompson 25-point performance. Also for the Jason Kidd-coached franchise we will still have to wait to witness the official debut of Anthony Davis.
Minnesota was not affected by the back-to-back and took a very important win over Houston. The Rockets managed to stay ahead for most of the match, but nothing could after the decisive stretch placed by the T'Wolves led by an extraordinary Anthony Edwards author of 41 points.
All easy, finally, for Denver, which thanks to Michael Porter Jr's 30 points and yet another triple-double by Nikola Jokic (28-10-12) overwhelmed Orlando.
