ATP 500 Rotterdam, triumph of Carlos Alcaraz

Spanish world number 3 Carlos Alcaraz wins his 17th° major circuit tournament beating in the final of the Rotterdam ATP with the score of 6-4 3-6 6-2 the Australian Alex De Minaur, number 8, who from tomorrow will return to his best ranking, number 6, already touched last July.

In the first set, Alcaraz breaks his opponent’s serve at 1-1, goes 3-1 and 4-2, gets counter-break at zero and reach at 4-4 but then takes the serve away from the Australian again and closes the first partial at the first set point.

Only one break in the second set and of course De Minaur does it in the second game, then the Aussie tennis player has two 4-0 balls, misses them, saves a counterbreak ball at 4-2 and then extends the match to the deciding partial on the first set point.

In the second game Alcaraz has a break point but misses it, however from 2-2 he threads four consecutive games to close out the match on the second match point after just under two hours of play.
