Beppe Marotta responds to Joao Felix

The words uttered on Monday by Joao Felix, who arrived at AC Milan on loan from Chelsea at the tail end of the winter market, certainly did not go unnoticed. In fact, the Portuguese footballer revealed an interest from Inter in addition to that of the Rossoneri: a version that, a few hours later, found partial denial from the Nerazzurri CEO, Beppe Marotta.

"What we did è was to evaluate some names of footballers available for a transfer – he told 'Dazn' the Nerazzurri executive -. We have not, however, ever started any negotiations nor have we delved into the specific interest in the footballer, it being understood that we respect him. In any case, we had decided to stay with this roster".

Joao Felix è was presented today but has already played two matches with the Milan jersey, in the Coppa Italia against Roma, scoring among other things the final 3-1, and in the league against Empoli, staying on the field for 84 minutes with a caution on him before being replaced, at 2-0 for the Rossoneri, by Filippo Terracciano.

Raised in Benfica, where he è exploded as a very youngster, Joao Felix è moved to Atletico Madrid for a record 126 million euros. With the Colchoneros he achieved important results, including winning La Liga in 2020-2021, but nal 2023 è the temptation of the Premier League, at Chelsea, was stronger: with the Blues forò love never blossomed and came first the loan to Barcelona and then the current one, to Milan.
