NBA: black luck for Davis, Embiid and Antetokounmpo

The 76ers center may have to undergo surgery again
The NBA's a league that doesn't cut anyone any slack. 82 regular season games are played and, for those who qualify, there are then the playoffs. So many contests that, often, result in more or less serious injuries. Lately, there are several NBA all-stars who have been forced to raise the white flag.
Davis chews bitterly. After ending up in Dallas as part of the trade that brought Doncic to the LA Lakers, the long man dominated in his debut game with the Mavs (26 points, 16 rebounds and as many assists) but, late in the third period, he felt something was wrong and è walked off the court. Result? Tear in the left adductor with a stop that could be more than a month.
Also discouraging news from Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee all-star è is struggling with a left calf problem. He has already let it be known that he won't be at the All Star Game (he was one of the most anticipated). If all goes well, he will be back available Feb. 20 against the LA Clippers.
Also anxiously awaiting Embiid. "È probable that to fix my left knee will require another operation and maybe even a long period of rest, which I could not have after the’injury in February last year", his clear words released to the ABC. It would be yet another long stop for an All Star mowed down by physical problems throughout his career.
