.

The first day of testing in Thailand closes in the sign of Marc Marquez. The centaur of the factory Ducati, in fact, set the fastest time of 1:29.184, ahead of his younger brother Alex by about four tenths. Completing the top 3, the ducati of the VR46 team of Franco Morbidelli.

Fourth position for the Aprilia of Marco Bezzecchi, who, complicit with the absence of his teammate Jorge Martin, had to shoulder the entire development process of the bike on the Buriram track. Completing the top 5 is the KTM of Pedro Acosta.

In sixth and seventh place are the two Honda bikes of Luca Marini and Johann Zarco. Only eighth, however, is the other official Ducati of Pecco Bagnaia, who pays more than eight tenths of a second behind his teammate. Closing out the top 10 are the KTM of Brad Binder and the Yamaha Pramac of Jack Miller.

Struggling more than expected are the two Yamahas, with Alex Rins and Fabio Quartaro finishing no higher than 12th and 13th. Finally, the enormous difficulties continue for Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales, respectively 16th and 18th at the end of the first day of testing.
