Champions League 2024-2025: Bayern Munich-Celtic, the likely lineups

Bayern Munich-Celtic, the probable formations
Bayern Munich host Celtic in the return leg of the Champions League playoffs, building on their 2-1 win in Scotland thanks to goals from Olise and Kane. Kompany’s team had an up-and-down group stage, with five wins but also three defeats: the heaviest were the 0-3 loss at home to Feyenoord and the 1-4 defeat in Barcelona.
Celtic, back from a mediocre round (only one point ahead of the first of the eliminated), will try to accomplish the feat, but will face a very steep climb to climb, against one of the eve favorites for the Cup with big ears.
The Germans will line up with a 4-2-3-1 with the backline consisting of goalkeeper Neuer and defenders Laimer, Upamecano, Dier and Guerreiro. The two midfielders will be Kimmich and Goretzka, while Olise, Musiala and Sané will support Kane in attack.
Celtic will respond, in all likelihood, with an aggressive 4-3-3 that sees, in front of Schmeichel in goal, a defense formed by Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty and Taylor. In midfield will be Engels, McGregor and Hatate, while Kuhn, Idah and Maeda form the attacking trio.
