The Six Nations becomes more inclusive with 'Connect Me Too'

È an increasingly inclusive Six Nations that of 2025 with the debut of 'Connect Me Too' an audiodescription system dedicated to fans who are blind, visually impaired and visually multi-disabled. That service will make its debut in the world of rugby at the highly anticipated match between Italy and France, scheduled for Saturday, February 23, at 4 p.m. at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

With the’introduction of this system, the FIR (Italian Rugby Federation) demonstrates great sensitivity toward people with visual disabilities, allowing them to live a unique sports and human experience, directly at the stadium.

'Connect me Too', developed by CMT Translations, è a fully digital system that relies on the 4G (or 5G) network and provides hyper-descriptive reporting by a specially trained professional, who recounts with great pathos and abundance of detail what's happening on the field, on the bench and in the stands. No detail is left out, precisely to make the involvement of people with visual disabilities maximal and the moment special.

How does 'Connect me Too' work? Users, before the game begins, must download the 'Connect Me Too' app from the store (Apple Store or Play Store) and follow the instructions. They will need to have headphones or earphones.

Rugby è a sport for everyone and that it is precisely to everyone that we want to address, to create an inclusive environment and to ensure that match days become more and more a collective celebration" explains Andrea Duodo, FIR president.
