Concacaf Champions Cup: Messi shines in the Kansas City freeze

Icy temperatures but the Argentine makes himself ready
Postponed by 24 hours due to the icy grip that hit the city of Kansas City, the match between the hosts, namely Sporting Kansas City and Inter Miami, valid for the first leg of the first round of the Concacaf Champions Cup, ended with the victory, 1-0, of the team coached by Tata Martino.
For a change, the winning goal, scored at 56', by Messi. The Argentine, having received the ball in the opponent's penalty area, sat down half the defense and then placed the ball in the corner. In short, albeit in prohibitive weather conditions (we are talking about a temperature well below 10 degrees), the talented Pulce has, once again, shown why he's one of the greatest in the history of soccer.
Despite some heavy absences, including that of Jordi Alba, Inter Miami played a very concrete match, enhanced by yet another pearl of Messi. The Argentine, 38 years old next June 24, continues to make a difference on the field with his immense class.
At this point, Sporting Kansas City will need two goals (the away-goal rule applies) in the return match, scheduled for Feb. 25 in much milder Florida, to pass the round.
