Round of 16 draw in Nyon: the risks for the Italians
Possible derby between Roma and Lazio in Europa League
There are only four teams left in the running in the three European cups, namely Inter (Champions League), Roma and Lazio (Europa League) and Fiorentina (Conference League). Today, at 12:00 noon, there will be the draw in Nyon where the respective opponents in the round of 16 and the entire tennis table of each event will be known.
Inter, having avoided Milan and Juventus, will definitely face a Dutch team, namely one between PSV and Feyenoord, namely those who eliminated the Bianconeri and Rossoneri, respectively. The Nerazzurri will play the first leg away and the return match at the San Siro.
In the Europa League, both Lazio and Roma are present. The Biancocelesti, the number 1 seed in the table, can draw one between Viktoria Plzen or, precisely, Roma. The derby risk è therefore rather high. The Giallorossi, should they avoid the biancocelesti, would face the Spaniards from Athletic Bilbao.
Finally, in the Conference League, Fiorentina will draw one between Panathinaikos and Borac Banja Luka, the latter Bosnian team. As the top seed, Fiorentina will have the advantage of playing the return match at the Franchi. The first leg matches of the round of 16 are scheduled for March 4-5 (Champions League) and March 6 (Europa League and Conference League). Return matches the following week.
