Parma-Bologna, the probable formations

At 3 p.m. at the Stadio Tardini, the Parma-Bologna derby of Emilia will be staged, with Christian Chivu making his debut on the Ducali bench after four consecutive defeats under Fabio Pecchia. Parma è called upon to turn things around, but will face a Bologna team fresh from its victory against Torino and fighting for fourth place, with Vincenzo Italiano aiming to confirm European qualification.

Chivu is not aiming for major tactical revolutions: the 4-3-3 will adapt to Pecchia’s 4-2-3-1, with the trequartista relegated to the midfield for more solidity. In midfield, Bernabé handles the direction with Sohm and Estevez, with Hernani a possible benchwarmer due to physical problems. In defense, Delprato and Valeri on the flanks, Valenti and Balogh in the middle, complicit with Leoni’s disqualification. 

Vincenzo Italiano recovers Ferguson, but the Scot will start from the bench, with Pobega in the three-quarter and De Silvestri in defense in place of Holm. In attack, Castro starts ahead of Dallinga, behind him Ndoye and Orsolini will play on the outside. In the median, space will be given to the Freuler-Moro pair.
