Jorge Martin, black period continues: new injury

There'è no peace for Jorge Martin: after the violent impact during testing in Malaysia, which forced him to skip the rest of the tests riding the Aprilia at the Sepang circuit, è came another injury, which will most likely keep him out of the first MotoGp race of the season in Thailand. Reporting it è 'Motorsport.com' which cites sources close to the Spanish rider.

Martin reportedly suffered a fracture in his left hand on Monday after a crash in training, just days before the start of the season. Recovery will inevitably go through surgery, scheduled for Tuesday. The same sources are però unable to clarify the expected duration of the new stop.

The Spaniard, MotoGp world champion in the 2024 season, had just recovered from the injury suffered at the Sepang circuit, where he suffered fractures in both feet, also remaining under observation for twenty-four hours in the local hospital due to the blow to the head.

Aprilia’s hopes will therefore be entrusted, barring a resounding and highly unlikely recovery on Martin’s part, to the other factory rider, Marco Bezzecchi. The Noale-based manufacturer is also supplying two RS-GP 2025s to the satellite team, Trackhouse Racing, which will send Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura to the track this season.
