The words of Alessandro Nesta

Speaking at the microphones of "DAZN", Monza coach Alessandro Nesta bluntly analyzed the heavy 4-0 defeat of his boys at the hands of Roma. More specifically, the former Reggiana coach dwelt on the numerous absences that affected his team’s performance.

"To any team if you take away eight players and play against Roma, you risk getting four goals. The many absences combined with the players who left in January made the difference between us and the Giallorossi too wide. We could have done more, but it is not è against them that we can score points. We must try to win against teams within our reach that are fighting for the same goals" began the Brianzoli coach.

"It is the players who make the difference, more than the coach and tactics. The players go on the field, and right now we have too many people emotionally and technically out. You come here to Rome, you get goals and maybe you lack those experienced players who can keep the morale up for the whole group" continued the former Reggiana coach.

"Pessina and Gagliardini have had major physical problems, as they&#39ve been out for four months. It still takes time to get them going again. D'Ambrosio should be back, we lost Carboni and we will recover Izzo after disqualification. We have to reset and focus on the matches that are more affordable for us, becauseé è we will have to pull out all the stops to hope to save ourselves" added the former Lazio and Milan defender.

"This match has to be cancelled. We have to recover the players and then the mental condition. We have to lighten it a little bit, because now the standings and results weigh and some things come less. Mental heaviness brakes and we have to regain the joy of playing, of taking risks, of being a proactive team. The difficultyè è just this: to lighten the'environment" concluded Alessandro Nesta.
