Maverick Viñales ready for his first MotoGp season in KTM

KTM è an acronym that evokes sweet memories in Maverick Viñales, who precisely on an Austrian bike, when he raced for Team Calvo, won his first and only World Championship, that of the Moto3 class in the 2013 season. Twelve years of MotoGP later, with ten seasons raced in MotoGp with Suzuki, Yamaha and Aprilia, the Catalan è ready to rise again right on the KTM, the one of Team Red Bull Tech3 entered in the premier class.

"My motivation è very high for this new adventure with Red Bull KTM Tech3 – said Viñales -, it feels a bit like a homecoming with KTM, I am excited for the future. We had a good pre-season, but it will take time to fully understand how to exploit the KTM".

"We have made some important steps forward in the initial phase, but certainly the transition will continue from race to race and we have to accept that it is a process. Starting the season in Thailand will be nice and different-I like the passion that Thai fans always bring to the track. It gives us extra motivation to race in front of them, so I think it will be a great start to the season".

Born in 1995, Maverick Viñales will be one of four riders to ride a KTM in 2025: the others are his new teammate at Team Red Bull Tech3, former Ducatista Enea Bastianini, and the two Factory Team riders, South African Brad Binder, confirmed, and Murcian Pedro Acosta, since this year in the Austrian manufacturer’s official team.
