Jannik Sinner: Barbara Schett doesn’t mince words and takes sides

Jannik Sinner&#39s three-month suspension has provoked the most disparate reactions within the tennis world: among them came that of Barbara Schett, former Austrian tennis player and current Eurosport anchor and commentator. Schett in an interview with Kicker commented thus on the plea bargain between Azure and the Anti-Doping Agency: "It's come early, initially it was said that the decision would be made in April. I find the wording interesting, a bit peculiar".

"WADA said he did not è intentionally doped and was disqualified anyway. È a bit; confused, but the three months are still good for him, because heé will be able to return to play in Rome".

"I personally believe Jannik’s story,” Schett explained. “What I would also like to say è that just becauseé you know someone and you like them doesn’t mean they are innocent. But I really think it was a mistake on the part of his physical therapist. And Jannik now has to face the consequences".
