Federico Pellegrino on the hunt for another world medal

Pellegrino to podium
The first medal event at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim will be the free technique sprint, the last rainbow for Federico Pellegrino, who boasts a career title in the specialty at the 2017 World Championships in Lahti, and silver in the 2019 edition in Seefeld.
The challenge in Trondheim will see the champion from Valle d’Aosta grappling with the Norwegian, Swedish and French giants who have been the talk of the town during the World Cup season, in which, however, the Italian managed to snatch a third place in the Lillehammer event last December.
But there won’t be only Pellegrino to play his cards in the fast races on February 27. The Italian lineup also includes Martino Carollo, Davide Graz and Giovanni Ticcò at the start.
In the women’s field, Federica Cassol and Nadine Laurent will be lined up at the qualifying start. They will start at 10 a.m. with the qualifying round to advance to the final rounds starting at 12:30 p.m.
