Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori's run at the Dubai ATP 500 stops in the quarterfinals. The Italian pair, in fact, è surrendered at the super tie-break – in which they missed a match point – against the duo formed by Robin Haase and Hendrik Jebens.

6-4 3-6 12-10 the final score in favor of Haase/Jebens accrued after just over an hour and a quarter of play. In the first set è a break made the difference, scratched by the pair formed by the Dutchman and the German in the ninth game (5-4) and then confirmed in the next (6-4).

The second set, on the other hand, was è decided in the sixth game with the Azzurri snatching the serve from Haase/Jebens and keeping the break lead until the final 6-3. In the super tie-break Bolelli/Vavassori got off to a bad start (3-8) but incredibly came back (8-8) even reaching match point (10-9), before surrendering 10-12.

Bolelli and Vavassori will return to the court at the Indian Wells Masters 1000, where they will defend the semifinal they won last year.
