It is not going unnoticed how much good Fabio Lopez is doing in South Africa. The Roman coach, a true globetrotter, is leading the Pretoria Callies toward a salvation that was anything but a foregone conclusion. He is doing this thanks to a squad that follows him closely and is benefiting from his great experience.

For Lopez, who has always had a lot of market in Asia, a return to Europe cannot be ruled out either: there are rumors of an interest in him by the Cypriots of Omonia Aradippou, the Bulgarians of Hebar Pazardzik and even the Poles of Radomiak Radom.

Lopez, class of 1973, has worked in Lithuania, with a couple of top league clubs, in Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia (in the prestigious Al-Ahli), Oman  and beyond. And, a medal few can display, è he has also been technical commissioner of a national team: Bangladesh.
