Another world record in the auction for Armand Duplantis

Swedish phenom Armand Duplantis, a two-time Olympic pole vault champion since this summer, improved his world record once again by one centimeter to 6.27 meters during the 10th All Star Pole Vault in Clermont-Ferrand.

After securing victory by clearing a 6.02 m bar, once he cleared the 5.65 m and 5.91 m bars, "World" Duplantis improved his record for the 11th time on the first attempt, which he has held since dethroning Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie (6.16 m) in February 2020.

In the women&#39s pole vault Roberta Bruni takes off at 4.70, three centimeters from her Italian record set outdoors in 2023, when she is now just days away from the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, March 6-9 in the Netherlands.

The Italian surpasses the measure on the third and final run, five centimeters above her indoor personal best of 4.65 from last season in Roubaix and already equaled recently in Liévin, but also above Elisa Molinarolo&#39s 4.66 last year, which was so far the benchmark in indoor lists at the national level.

For the Carabinieri bearer, Italian record holder with 4.73 outdoors two years ago, there's third place in a race that began with 4.35 and 4.50 on the first attempt, continuing with 4.60 on the second. She then tackles the bar at 4.76 with the aim of increasing her record and narrowly misses it on the first assault, misses twice more but è a very good sign ahead of the Euroindoors.
