Billing responds in the final to Dimarco, Napoli-Inter ends in a draw

Napoli and Inter draw 1-1 in the big match of the 27th day of Serie A.Thus, everything remains unchanged in the first three positions of the standings, given Atalanta's 0-0 in the early afternoon against Venezia. The Nerazzurri remain in front with 58 points, Napoli follows at 57 and Atalanta at 55.

The match takes a while to light up: the two teams study each other with a guarded attitude and only at minute 17 is there a first conclusion towards the net, with McTominay trying but not creating any headaches for Josep Martinez. On 22', however, comes the flash that puts the Nerazzurri ahead: a free kick from 25 meters, Dimarco kicks perfectly and Meret canò only watch the ball go into the bag for the 1-0 Inter.

Napoli immediately tried to make up for it: Lukaku and Raspadori tried, on three different occasions within as many minutes, from 34' to 36' but Inter was saved first by the Azzurri strikers’ inaccuracy and then by Bastoni's fine intervention on the former Sassuolo player. Again Bastoni saves on Lukaku at 45', while on the other side of the field, Dimarco again went close to scoring, at 49' but he was not precise. It's 0-1, then, at halftime.

In the second half, Inzaghi takes off Dimarco and Calhanoglu at 51' and Thuram at 65': in their place are Pavard, Zielinski and Correa, respectively. Napoli pushes, just at minute 65 McTominay unloads a powerful conclusion from close range, on which Martinez è very careful. Conte turned up the pressure with the entries of Okafor at 77' (off Raspadori) and Billing two minutes later, in place of Gilmour.

At 82'82' Ngonge and Oliveira also enter in place of Politano and Spinazzola for all-out Napoli, and the formula devised by Conte, in fact, works: at 87'87; McTominay exchanges with Lobotka, the Slovakian enters the box and serves Billing who kicks once finding Martinez's opposition and a second time going in instead, for his first goal in Italy on his second appearance.

The match remains intense even in the last minutes, Napoli has a very last chance with Ngonge at 95'but Martinez is not surprised: it ends 1-1, for the Scudetto the race remains long and è it is still difficult to identify a real favorite.
