Juve, Thiago Motta’s outburst: "I am not an incompetent"
Juventus coach Thiago Motta in a press conference vents after criticism following the Italian Cup defeat against Empoli: "It has not been an easy few days, but è our duty is to think about the next game and we must not rethink the match with Empoli".
The Italobrazilian coach swells his chest: "When I make a choice I take a lot of time and I am not incompetent. I am more than 20 years in the world of soccer and I am very competent. To get the best team at any time choices have to be made".
"If I had children, I would want them to have a coach like I am,” he continued, “who is honest and straightforward and takes a lot of time to say things, when to say them and when to do them. The relationship between me è the team è great, always è been and always will be. There'è a staff, there'è responsibility, there'è communication. My role as a coach è to make decisions. I do not want to make mistakes with any of them".
"I feel the trust of the company" and the players. I see them every day in training, I know the responsibility they take, but in the last one we did not. The attitude in the first half was not good, we put ourselves in great difficulty. We talked, we confronted each other for a positive way and to be a constructive thing. We face 12 games to the maximum in order not to repeat what happened in the Cup".
