L'former number one shuts up a Jannik Sinner hater
Rennae Stubbs, former world number one in women’s doubles, has come to the defense of Jannik Sinner, accused by a hater in comments under a Tennis Channel post on 'X' depicting the South Tyrolean alongside the famous Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue America, at the Gucci event at Milan Fall Winter Fashion Week 2025.
"There's a question as to whether Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova or anyone else who served a doping suspension was promoted by some of the biggest accounts in tennis during the period of disqualification" wrote the user, criticizing the world number one.
Surprisingly, the responses also include Stubbs: "Whyé heè been cleared of any wrongdoing. He is serving a ban based on his team's incompetence in the eyes of WADA. The above players have had different suspensions".
Recently, Riccardo Piatti, Sinner’s former coach, also è expressed himself on the Clostebol case and in particular on the indifference of many of the Blue’s colleagues: "If you ask me if I am surprised, the answer è no. I am not surprised. I know the players, if it happened to them they would have said that è it was a disaster. But if it happens to someone else, then it è not a disaster. è that’s how their mentality works. On the other hand è it è an individual sport, so uniting everyone è difficult".
