Marc Marquez dominates: Pecco Bagnaia asks Ducati for explanations after unexpected weekend

The last pre-season tests had given a glimpse of Marc Marquez’s advantage over Pecco Bagnaia in Buriram, but few expected such domination of the Catalan centaur over the Piedmontese rider. The challenge in the official Ducati team was practically not there, with Bagnaia having to settle for third position behind the two Marquez riders.

Post-race, the cameras captured an exchange of banter between Bagnaia and executives Tardozzi and Dall'Igna, and the two-time MotoGP world champion did not hide his bitterness at the gap created. The Piedmontese rider asked for explanations, especially with regard to the tires on his bike: "Now I want to understand what è happened to it, later we will talk about it", cut Pecco short.

Dall'Igna to Sky Sport tried to explain the gap between the two riders: "I think Marc already has the bike in hand and already knows what to do. Pecco has room for improvement and I expect him to bring it out during the next GP".  In mid-March, the appointment in Argentina.

"Marc’s tests here in Thailand were moreù easy, Pecco had a moreù tormented test. This in my opinion can è justify that he has a little bit more’ delay in preparing for the races". Bagnaia did not è manage to put in trouble even Alex Marquez: "C’è already; a difference in some details between the factory bikes and the others, for sure we have other developments planned that we will try not before the Jerez test. The next 3-4 races, including Jerez, we will do them with this configuration with the’addition of some evolutionary details".
